::D Two of my very favoritest shows in one frame! I love this!!!
HAHAHA!! F•ck you Doc!! You are no match for the Cylons or their God. LOVE THIS!! PS…Six if your listening…I’ll do whatever I can to impregnate you with that chylde you’ve always wanted.
The art of:
Six obviously likes Eleven more. Bowties ARE cool…
This one is pretty easy. Although, I will do the same as I have with other posts which is give credit to someone/something else. And that’s Amy Pond. I love her. I’ll credit my friend Diana, as to why I love Amy “She’s sassy, she’s strong, she can be scary, she didn’t drop her boyfriend on sight of the Doctor … and yet, she proved she knows that lust can be just that: lust… without going all puddly on the Doctor (like Rose Tyler did).”
So there’s my credit to the wonderful Pond.
But she is not my favorite companion. That distinction will forever be reserved to one Ms. (not assuming she’s not married though) Donna Noble. She loved the doctor, but was not drooling over him. She was fearless, strong. She had street smarts that allowed them to save the day when the doctor was being too analytical about everything. And for one shining moment, just as the doctor describes, she was the most important person in the Universe. And they shall sing songs honoring Donna Noble.
However, the most important reason as to why she will forever be my favorite, (other than being completely hilarious), just as the doctor mentions in End of Time, Donna Noble was the doctor’s best friend.
Wow, this one is just ridiculous. First I want to give credit where it’s due. Eccleston had a VERY difficult job. He had to sell the reboot of the series to hardcore Who fans. Not only that, he had to make a whole new audience that were never fans fall in love with the doctor. Pretty difficult stuff.
Tennant, well, he stuck around for awhile. He was passionate about what he did and the show and you can tell he loved it. This is why Tennant will forever me my doctor. He truly embodied the doctor and made it his own. After falling for Eccleston, I had a hard time accepting the doctor, but his charm is undeniable and you felt like you were truly being taken on a journey with this.
Having said that I still want to give Matt Smith a compliment here because I love him dearly too, because let’s face, out of all these guys he had THE most difficult job- HE HAD TO FOLLOW TENNANT.
I know I’m cheating because we’re on Day 5 but I really wanted to join in so…
Skipped Day 2 one because I’ve never watched a classic Doctor Who episode.
Of course making these choices are terribly difficult because the new series has so many terrific episodes.
The Midnight episode was always one of my favorite episodes because of how creepy it was. It had an amazing performance from a guest star. And no one listened to the doctor. Most of the time people do follow him rather blindly.
However, if I had to choose I actually will choose Vincent and the Doctor. This episode had so much heart and emotion. Also, the doctor used the Tardis for someone’s else’s benefit that was not a companion, and he could have changed history by doing so. Even though it really didn’t change the outcome of having Vincent survive. The only other time that the doctor tried “saving” someone that died, was in Water in Mars, but he did that out of arrogance and the universe in a way course corrected itself.
And let’s face it, those last 10 minutes of the episode, were probably the most powerful of the entire new series.
You know what I just remembered. If Amy’s parents were taken by the crack and she doesn’t remember them or what happened (she did say she didn’t have a mom and dad in Eleventh Hour, not that they died), how come she remembers her mom doing that to apples? Discuss
Simple! Amy Pond
She’s sassy, she’s strong, she can be scary, she didn’t drop her boyfriend on sight of the Doctor … and yet, she proved she knows that lust can be just that: lust… without going all puddly on the Doctor (like Rose Tyler did).
Very close second:
Donna Noble <3
